The popsicle that cools AND recharges
It's hot. Really hot.
The kind of heat where you open the fridge just to feel the cold air. Where you wonder if the neighbour's pool is accessible. Where even the tap water starts feeling warm.
That's exactly when we decided to freeze our Strawberry & Lemon Electrolyte Lemonade. And tuck in some dragon fruit, blueberries, kiwi and fresh Quebec strawberries.
The result: 8 popsicles that taste like full-on summer, and that recharge your body while you eat them.
Here's the recipe.
LOOP Electro Pops — The full recipe
Makes: 8 popsicles
Prep time: 20 minutes
Freeze time: 6 hours minimum (overnight is ideal)
Ingredients
- 1 bottle LOOP Strawberry & Lemon Electrolyte Lemonade (300 ml)
- 1 cup fresh Quebec strawberries, hulled
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- Pink dragon fruit (pitaya), slices or cubes → vivid red
- Fresh blueberries → deep indigo
- Kiwi, thin slices → bright green
- Sliced strawberries → red-pink
- A few lime rounds
Method
Step 1 — The pink liquid
Pour the LOOP Strawberry & Lemon Electrolyte Lemonade into the blender. Add the hulled fresh strawberries and maple syrup. Blend 45 to 60 seconds until you get a smooth, pink, creamy liquid. The colour is already stunning, intense strawberry-lemon, faintly fragrant.
Step 2 — Fruit in the mould
Arrange the colourful fruit in the moulds by pressing them against the inner walls. Dragon fruit against the side, kiwi facing you, blueberries in a cascade, sliced strawberries leaning against the moulds. A few lime rounds for colour and tartness.
Step 3 — The liquid
Slowly pour the pink lemonade into the moulds. It flows around the fruit already in place, coats them, holds them. The colour rises in the mould, it's beautiful.
Step 4 — The sticks
Insert the wooden or silicone sticks into the centre of each mould. Make sure they stand straight.
Step 5 — The freezer
Slide the moulds into the freezer. Minimum 6 hours. Overnight is ideal. The patience pays off here.
Step 6 — Unmoulding
Run the moulds briefly under warm water (5 to 10 seconds) to release the popsicles. Pull gently on the stick. And there it is, the colours. Red dragon fruit, purple blueberries, green kiwi, all visible through the translucent ice.
One popsicle. One recharge. One delicious way to get through the heat wave.
Electrolytes in a heat wave: why it matters
When it's hot, your body sweats to regulate its temperature. And with sweat goes essential minerals: potassium, magnesium, sodium, what we call electrolytes. They're what maintain fluid balance, prevent cramps, and keep your energy level steady.
An electrolyte imbalance is what explains that heavy fatigue feeling in the middle of a heat wave. Even when you've been drinking water. Water alone doesn't replace minerals.
The good news: our Strawberry & Lemon Electrolyte Lemonade contains potassium citrate, magnesium citrate and sodium citrate, the three key minerals, in a cold-pressed lemonade made with real Quebec strawberries and freshly pressed lemon. No added sugar. No additives.
Summer in every bottle. And as a popsicle, it's even better.
